OWEN MONEY SHOW - March 2016
CHARITY SHOW
Anthony Hamilton Shaw (right) receives cheque for £600.
A big thank you to all who attended the Charity Show held on the 20th February. All ticket proceeds were donated to the "Cariad" charity. A cheque for £600 was presented to Anthony Hamilton Shaw, co-founder of the hard working charity. The event was organised by the Centre Committee, who's hard work, with the help of a few friends, made this a fantastic evening. The "Like Lennon and McCartney" tribute duo were excellent, giving a professional performance with an uncanny likeness to the famous pair. The show was compered by comedian Lenny Dee, who took on the role at short notice. His brilliant mid way comedy spot was also hilarious, contributing highly to the successful event
CHRISTMAS FAIR
The Christmas Fair held on Saturday 13th December 2014 was a great success. The children visited Santa in his grotto and had fun on the bouncy castle . There was also face and nail painting, glitter tattoos and creative activities to make it a fun afternoon - all inside the marquee situated on the front car park. There was also a visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse (see photos below).
The Craft Fair was the biggest yet with 26 tables selling a variety of hand crafted items, home made cakes etc. and much more.
Llwyth y Llan, Cor Glandulais and the Carmarthen Symphonic Wind Band supplied the musical entertainment.

Thanks to Money raised by the Ladies Group that meet in the Library every Tuesday, along with a donation from the Community Centre Committee Fund, a life saving defibrillator was purchased from the "CARIAD" charity group in August 2014. The apparatus will be located at the Centre, but will be made available to the whole village. Courses have been organised for anyone who wishes to receive training on the apparatus.
